‘WHAT?!’ Morning Joe Stunned By Trump’s Attack on ‘Jewish Governor’ Josh Shapiro: ‘Not Even a Dog Whistle!’
The Morning Joe crew was absolutely gobsmacked by former President Donald Trump’s attack of “Jewish Governor” Josh Shapiro in a late-night social media post after the Pennsylvanian politician spoke at the DNC.
After Shapiro criticized Trump during his speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday evening, Trump fired back in a lengthy Truth Social post:
The highly overrated Jewish Governor of the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, made a really bad and poorly delivered speech talking about freedom and fighting for Comrade Kamala Harris for President, yet she hates Israel and will do nothing but make its journey through the complexities of survival as difficult as possible, hoping in the end that it will fail. Judge only by her actions! Yet Shapiro, for strictly political reasons, refused to acknowledge that I am the best friend that Israel, and the Jewish people, ever had. I have done more for Israel than any President, and frankly, I have done more for Israel than any person, and it’s not even close.
The former president concluded, “Shapiro has done nothing for Israel and never will. Comrade Kamala Harris, the Radical Left Marxist who stole the nomination from Crooked Joe, will do even less. Israel is in BIG trouble!”
After Mika Brzezinski set up the segment, Joe Scarborough interrupted with, “WHAT?!”
“It’s always helpful to your campaign when you attack the governor of a state you desperately need,” Brzezinski tossed to Willie Geist.
“By the way, and identify him as the highly overrated Jewish governor,” Geist replied. “This is one of these moments. We tend to go, guys where people go, oh, there he goes again. No, no, no, let’s stop for a minute. The man who wants to be president again is calling Josh Shapiro a Jewish governor, sending up smoke signals to some of his supporters. And, I mean, he just he’s lost his ability if you ever had it to use innuendo. And now he’s just coming out and saying these things absolutely out loud about Josh Shapiro. He’s Jewish. So, take what he says with a grain of salt. You know.”
“You have to remind yourself of some of the things that Donald Trump will say and make no bones about it,” Katty Kay jumped in. “And he will identify Josh Shapiro not as the governor, not as the great governor, not as the effective governor, but as the Jewish governor, and making him then another part of another group. And it’s the it’s not even a dog whistle at this point. It’s a bullhorn. It’s it’s out there and it’s blunt. I mean, he, by the way, he has a habit of attacking governors of states that he needs to win.”
