Franklin Graham Decries Disney as ‘Moral Failure’ That Wants to ‘Define Family Counter to God’s Original Design’
Famed evangelical pastor Franklin Graham decried Disney as a “moral failure” for going against “God’s original design” for a family in a screed posted on Facebook.
“What has happened at Disney is moral failure. Walt Disney had a vision for wholesome family entertainment,” the Christian leader wrote over the weekend. “He was committed to the family. The morals of the corporate leadership of Disney today are in the gutter, and they want to redefine family counter to God’s original design and flaunt sin.”
The remark comes after Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) signed a law designed to punish Disney for speaking out against Florida’s Parental Rights in Education legislation, by dissolving the company’s special district in the state.
DeSantis signed the bill after Disney openly opposed Florida’s controversial legislation, which critics have dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” law, prompting conservatives to argue that the company has surrendered to the liberal agenda.
Graham went on to praise DeSantis in his FaceBook post, thanking him for being “willing to take a bold stand,” against the company and accusing LGBTQ+ activists of using corporations to force their agenda on the public.
The reverend has made several anti-LGBTQ comments prior to his post on Disney, including the claim, “LGBT agenda wants to force everyone to accept & condone their lifestyle which God’s Word defines as sin.”

LGBTQ activists are using corporations to force their agenda on the public, and companies may want to take another look at what they are allowing to happen. Disney has gone too far. The people of Florida have revolted, and it’s going to cost Disney big time. Disney had a special tax status in the state which they benefitted from in a huge way—but because they came out against the parents of Florida, the governor and legislators have revoked that status.
What has happened at Disney is moral failure. Walt Disney had a vision for wholesome family entertainment. He was committed to the family. The morals of the corporate leadership of Disney today are in the gutter, and they want to redefine family counter to God’s original design and flaunt sin. Thank God for Governor Ron DeSantis who is willing to take a bold stand. We need more leaders like him. God bless him and the Florida legislature.
