They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but it may be difficult not to when you compare and contrast the covers of new books separately announced and promoted by Donald Trump and Melania Trump on Thursday.
Melania Trump went for a minimalist style with her book, titled Melania, which is set for a release in the fall. The former first lady announced the book through her website and readers can buy a collector’s edition, signed memoir, or regular copy. The collector’s edition, which features a white cover with “Melania” written in black, runs for $150 and includes a signature, “bonus” photos, and a “digital collectible.” For just a signature, you can drop $75 on a copy featuring a black cover with “Melania” written in white. The regular copy meanwhile runs for $40.

Trump announced his book through Truth Social and the cover features the photograph of the former president raising a fist to Pennsylvania rally goers after a shooter let off multiple rounds and Trump was struck in the ear. The photo, taken during the assassination attempt on July 13, features the American flag in the background and Trump, with a bloody ear, surrounded by Secret Service agents.
After he was struck, Trump told the audience, “fight!” multiple times while raising his fist.
One rally goer was fatally wounded and the shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, was killed.
Trump called the United States a “failing nation” in his post announcing Save America.
“I’m pleased to announce my new Book, ‘SAVE AMERICA.’ As everyone knows, the first two, ‘Our Journey Together’ and, ‘Letters to Trump,’ have been spectacular successes, and this is the BEST OF ALL, especially in light of the fact that we are now living in a Failing Nation, but it will not be failing for long,” the former president wrote.
Save America is even more costly than Melania Trump’s memoir. A pre-order of the September 3 release runs $99 and a signed copy costs $499.
