‘Thanks Him For the Playbook’: Mark Cuban Goes Viral With Sarcastic Plan For How Biden Can Flip the Script on Trump
Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban went viral over the holiday weekend with a piercing, sarcastic comment about how he believes President Joe Biden should approach the effort to remove former President Donald Trump off the ballot.
“I wish Biden would come out and say he wants Trump on the ballot. The 14th doesn’t apply,” Cuban began, parroting a common centrist position in the U.S.
“Then thanks him for the playbook describing how to never leave office and the appreciation of knowing he can’t be charged, no matter what he does. And ends it with ‘My Fellow Americans , I’m not ever going to leave the White House and there is nothing you can do to me,’” Cuban added, concluding:
Which would confirm exactly why SCOTUS will keep Trump off the ballots and why Trump will never get immunity
Cuban’s tweet referred to the recent moves by the Colorado Supreme Court and Maine’s Secretary of State barring Trump from the presidential ballot. Both decisions argued that Trump violated Section Three of the 14th Amendment with his actions inspiring the Jan. 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol aimed at keeping Trump in power.
Cuban also referred to Trump’s appeal before the U.S. Supreme Court of a lower court’s decision ruling Trump does not have presidential immunity over his actions on Jan. 6th. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the appeal, which will result in a landmark ruling as no former president has ever asked a court to grant them immunity from criminal charges.
Cuban’s tweet sparked a bevy of reactions from all sides. Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt replied, “Which confirms for me why Mark Cuban didn’t go to law school and instead made a lot of money doing other things.”

MAGA YouTube influencer Tim Pool also took Cuban seriously and unironically replied, “Dude begging for dictatorship wtf.”
“Stick to sales. Your legal and political analysis is fifth-rate,” wrote former Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark, who was indicted alongside Trump in Georgia for trying to overturn the 2020 election in the state.
On the left, many prominent commentators praised Cuban for calling out those willing to accept Trump’s efforts to stay in power. “This is actually… genius lol,” wrote Mehdi Hasan – the MSNBC analyst and former host.
“I’ve actually said before that Biden should regularly point to Kamala Harris and say to Trump and MAGA, ‘So on Jan 6th 2025, you’re ok with her deciding which electoral college votes count and which don’t? Cool…’” Hasan added.
D.C. bureau chief for Mother Jones, David Corn, replied, “Very Dark Brandon.”
