‘Russia’s Dream Candidate’: The View Panel Mocks Tulsi Gabbard for Being on Trump’s VP Shortlist
The View panel went after former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) on Thursday morning as former President Donald Trump considers picking her as his running mate.
Trump revealed during an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham that he is considering about half a dozen individuals as his potential vice presidential running mate, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Vivek Ramaswamy, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and Gabbard.
During a discussion on his VP list, former Trump administration official Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that a Trump-Gabbard presidential ticket would be Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “dream.”
“Donald Trump, Tulsi Gabbard would literally be Vladimir Putin’s dream ticket. You would lose every normie Republican like myself who wants to stand by NATO, wants Ukraine to defeat Russia. That’s bizarre to me,” she noted.
Meanwhile, fellow co-host Sunny Hostin agreed, claiming that Gabbard is “Russia’s dream candidate” while praising former secretary of state Hillary Clinton for saying Russians were grooming the Hawaiian lawmaker for a third-party run back in the 2020 election.
“I think what’s interesting is, is Tulsi Gabbard’s name coming up. Because you’re right, she would be Russia’s dream candidate,” Hostin added. “But let’s recall this. You know, everything Hillary Clinton said was true.”
Gabbard eventually sued Clinton for her claims about her ties to Russia before dropping the lawsuit in 2020.
Whoopi Goldberg agreed with the panel, adding, “She was exactly what Hillary said she was. She was a big Russian puppet. That’s what she didn’t want them to find out.”
