Mark Zuckerberg Praises Trump For ‘Badass’ Fist Pump After Being Shot — Days After Trump Threatened to Jail Him
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg praised former President Donald Trump’s “badass” reaction to the assassination attempt over the weekend, but did not offer the Republican nominee his endorsement.
During an interview with Bloomberg News released on Friday, the billionaire social media mogul told Bloomberg’s Emily Chang about his opinions on the upcoming elections. Zuckerberg noted that the company would try to reel in political content by not promoting it on people’s feeds this election cycle as much.
He also vowed not to endorse any presidential candidate or take an active role in the election.
However, Zuckerberg did praise for his “badass” fist pump to his supporters after being shot over the weekend during an assassination attempt.
I’ve done some stuff personally in the past. I’m not planning on doing that this time. And that includes, you know, not endorsing either of the candidates. Now, look, I mean, there’s obviously a lot of crazy stuff going on in the world. I mean, the historic events over the last, like over the weekend. And I mean, on a personal note, it’s, you know, I mean, seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life. But…At some level as an American, it’s, like, hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit. And that fight. And I think that that’s why a lot of people like the guy.
Zuckerberg made the comments praising Trump weeks after the former president suggested putting “election fraudsters” in jail while taking a swipe at the Meta founder during the rant on Truth Social. All I can say is that if I’m elected President, we will pursue Election Fraudsters at levels never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for long periods of time .We already know who you are. DON’T DO IT! ZUCKERBUCKS, be careful!” wrote Trump in the post.
Mark Zuckerberg said that Donald Trump’s immediate reaction after being shot was “badass” and inspiring — without endorsing the former president.
