Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) went viral once again for the wrong reasons, this time by making a crude joke about independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his tragedy-ridden family.

On Tuesday, The New York Times reported that in a 2012 deposition, Kennedy said that the “memory loss and mental fogginess” he was experiencing “was caused by a worm that got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died.”

Collins responded to the report by tweeting a joke alluding to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy Sr.

“You either die a Kennedy with a hole in the brain or live long enough to become a Kennedy with a hole in the brain,” the congressman wrote.

Predictably, the tweet garnered a spate of criticism.

Collins got into hot water over the weekend by tweeting praise for a group of White students who were heckling a Black woman at the University of Mississippi. The lawmaker posted a video of the incident in which one person is seen and heard making ape noises at her.

“Ole Miss taking care of business,” Collins wrote.

In response, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre slammed Collins on Tuesday and said, “It’s beneath anyone to be sharing that kind of material.”
