Not even the NFL Draft and NBA playoffs could give Undisputed a boost as it recently earned its second-worst ratings since returning from hiatus.
On the morning of April 25, Skip Bayless’ sports talk show averaged just 45,000 viewers. As Sports Media Watch noted, that episode came on the morning of the first round of the NFL Draft. Additionally, the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets continued their playoff series the same night.
On the morning of the NFL Draft and a Lakers playoff game, the FS1 talk show “Undisputed” averaged 45,000 viewers — its second-smallest audience since returning from hiatus last fall.

With Bayless being among Lakers star LeBron James’ most vocal critics in sports media, it was a reasonable expectation that he would give some kind of incendiary take about him. Unfortunately for Bayless, it seems viewers aren’t as interested in his brand of sports commentary as they once were.
The disappointing ratings aren’t new for Undisputed. When co-host Shannon Sharpe left at the conclusion of the 2022-23 NBA season, the show went on hiatus for several months. The revamped Undisputed returned with Bayless and analysts Keyshawn Johnson, Richard Sherman, and Michael Irvin. Sharpe now does First Take two days out of the week while also hosting his podcasts Club Shay Shay and Nightcap.
While Sharpe’s profile has increased tremendously since the Undisputed breakup, Bayless’s show continues to lag far behind First Take in the ratings department.
