‘He Scares Me’: Megyn Kelly Says ‘Charming’ Tim Walz ‘Most Radical They Could Find’ for Kamala Harris’ VP Pick
Megyn Kelly told viewers on Wednesday she was “scared” of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, arguing he was “the most radical” person the Democratic Party could find to serve as Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2024 running mate.
On The Megyn Kelly Show, Wednesday, Kelly said, “I’ve been thinking about Walz since yesterday, and he’s the most radical they could find on the trans issue. As I said yesterday, he’s another Gavin Newsom. There’s just almost no daylight between those two, if any at all, which is an issue very important to me personally, and my audience as well.”
She continued:
This guy scares me. He scares me because he actually could become the vice president and potentially the president, and I’m gonna be honest with you in the audience, I watched him last night and I thought he was amazing. He is a spectacular speaker, he was charming, he had that rally in the palm of his hand. He’s way more effective than she is, or Joe Biden is, and I genuinely feel like for the first time that I can remember, had like a feeling of fear rise up in my throat because I know what he’s permitting in Minnesota when it comes to children.
Kelly proceeded to tear into Walz over his transgender policies as governor of Minnesota, before warning, “He is pedal to the metal, full steam ahead on all of it. So when I watched him dazzle last night– I’m not going to vote for him, I’ve been honest about that, but I recoiled.”
She concluded, “I see why she chose him. He’s great and he’s better than she is in his rhetoric.”
Walz has received praise from many Republicans and conservatives over his performance at the first Harris-Walz campaign rally in Philadelphia this week.
On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump described Walz as a “smarter version” of Harris, while Fox News’ Bill Hemmer praised their rally and said it went “well.”
