Deion Sanders Claims Colorado Star Players — Including His Son — Refuse to Play for Certain NFL Teams

University of Colorado football coach Deion Sanders said his star players will get the final say on where they end up playing in the NFL.

On a recent episode of the podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Sanders was asked where he thought Shedeur Sanders — Colorado quarterback and his son — and two-way star Travis Hunter will end up falling in the draft.

“Top four,” Deion said. “Anywhere from one through four. One of them is gonna be [no. 1], and the latter one will not go behind [no. 4].”

After explaining that, Deion admitted that his prediction was “subjective” because he knows exactly where he wants those two — as well as another of his sons, safety Shilo Sanders — to go.

“I know where I want them to go,” Deion continued, “so it’s certain cities that ain’t gonna happen. It’s gonna be an Eli [Manning]. We ain’t doing that.”

Ahead of the 2004 NFL Draft, it was widely expected that Manning would be selected with the no. 1 pick. Then, it was leaked that Manning told the Chargers he did not want to play for them. The Chargers obliged and traded him to the New York Giants for QB Philip Rivers, whom the Giants took with the fourth overall pick.
