‘His Finest Hour!’ Bill Maher Praises Biden’s ‘Best Week as President’ — Then Rattles Off Grandpa Jokes

Comic and pundit Bill Maher opened his show by praising President Joe Biden’s “finest hour” — then rattled off a series of grandpa jokes related to Biden’s Israel trip.

On Friday night’s edition of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, the comic’s panel guests were Paul Begala and Bret Stephens, and his interview guest was Alexandra Pelosi, director of The Insurrectionist Next Door.

Maher opened the show with a monologue that offered sincere praise of Biden for his handling of the Israel-Hamas war, then rattled off jokes about his age and — his son Hunter Biden’s penis:

I’m sure you know the big story. Joe Biden, our president, went to Israel this week. Nothing to do with the war. Just wanted a break from the tension in D.C.

But I think this was his best week as president Joe Biden. This was his (applause) I think so. His finest hour!

I mean, and. Then he gets his ass on a plane. It can’t be easy. It’s what? it’s. He’s not a young man. He remembers when the Dead Sea was alive. He told the Wailing Wall to keep it down. You know, he’s not a young man.

But, no he went there to give Israel an aid package. He’s like the world’s grandpa, so– he can’t visit without slipping a little money. You know, just. Let’s. Get some missiles. Don’t tell Grandma.

But when he came home, he made a great speech about Israel. At the end of it, they caught this on camera. Somebody yells “clear!” And then somebody goes, “That was great!”.

Of course, great. The bar for great in the Biden White House is like if Hunter doesn’t wander in with a hard-on. Just to put it in perspective, I’m just.

But here’s the thing. He wants to give all this money to Ukraine and to Israel, but it has to come from Congress and we don’t have one. The House of Representatives. I’m sure you’ve known this for the last 70 days, remains paralyzed from the neck up. The Republicans control the House. They want to elect this guy, Jim Jordan. You know, Jim Jordan is from Ohio with, former gym teacher. I call him Jim “Gym” Jordan. And he’s a. He is what you call an insurrectionist’s Insurrectionist. You know, he he’s not really an indoor Republican, which is troubling to some of them because he sends women running to the other party. He’s an election denier, a conspiracy theorist and a creep, or as Matt Gaetz calls him, dad. But let’s see.
