CNN went dark for more than two minutes during its coverage of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday, cutting Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s speech short for viewers of the network.
In the middle of Whitmer’s speech, CNN’s feed abruptly cut to a black screen, losing both visuals and audio of the convention.
When the feed was eventually restored more than two minutes later, Whitmer’s speech was over, with Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria being introduced to the stage.
