Fox News Analyst Lisa Boothe Slams ABC’s Jon Karl As ‘Surrogate’ After Medal Of Honor Throwdown

Fox News analyst Lisa Boothe hit out at ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl as a “surrogate” for Vice President Kamala Harris for challenging Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) on his defense of former President Donald Trump’s comments on the Medal of Honor.

During a Sunday interview on ABC’s The Week, Karl and Cotton sparred on Harris’s policy position on healthcare and pushed back when the senator attempted to justify Trump for implying the Congressional Medal of Honor was inferior to the Presidential Medal of Freedom as he reminisced about awarding the civilian Presidential Medal of Freedom to mega-MAGA donor Miriam Adelson. Cotton contested that the comments were taken “out of context” and that Trump had the “utmost respect for our veterans and our troops.”

Analyzing the moment on The Big Weekend Show on Fox News late Sunday, Boothe slammed Karl for pushing back on the senator’s claim that the comments were out of context and criticized Harris for not engaging in media interviews.

[Harris] wants to hide behind the teleprompter. I mean can you imagine being a Kamala Harris surrogate. I have no idea what she believes I don’t know when she’s going to talk to any of you. But she’s joyful and you have that – which is a lie.

We all saw the clip with Senator Cotton and Jonathan Karl at ABC, he’s supposed to be a journalist and he basically played the role of a surrogate so we’re not going to get any answers, the media does not do their jobs. They’re terrible, they’re hacks.

Trump has faced significant backlash from military veterans, stemming from various incidents, including his alleged comment—reported by his former Chief of Staff John Kelly — where he reportedly referred to American war dead as “suckers” and “losers.”
