‘Evangelicals For Harris’ Drops First Ad Blitz As Group Tries to Coax Key Voters From Trump
A new political group targeting Christian voters, “Evangelicals For Harris,” dropped its first ad on Wednesday with the aim of chipping away at former President Donald Trump’s base.
David Brody, the veteran Chrisitan Broadcasting Network anchor, first reported on the new ad and noted that “if Kamala Harris gets 20% or more of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote (not out of the question), Trump will probably lose.”
Brody offered some quick context for the stat, writing, “In 2008, Barack Obama received 26% of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote and WON. In 2016, Hillary Clinton received 16% of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote and LOST. In 2020, Joe Biden received 24% of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote and WON.”
Brody also shared the ad, which begins with the Rev. Billy Graham saying, “Have you been to the cross and said, ‘Lord, I have sinned. I’m sorry for my sin. I’m willing to change my way of life.’”
The ad then cuts to an old clip of pollster Frank Luntz asking Trump, “Have you ever asked God for forgiveness?”
Trump replies, “That’s a tough question. I’m not sure I have. I just I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”
The ad then ends with text that reads, “Is there any greater denial of Christ… than to say ‘I don’t need his forgiveness.’”

Specifically and most interestingly, Evangelicals For Harris will be targeting conservative Christian media websites. This is NOT just a play for liberal Christians. The group already has over 200,000 Evangelical Christians who have signed a pledge to volunteer and vote for the Harris/Walz ticket. Big Zoom call tonight FYI. They ain’t playin’.
The latest polling from the Cook Political Report has Harris leading Trump in 5 of the top 7 swing states, including now-in-play North Carolina. Harris and Trump are tied in Georgia, a state Trump has held the lead in despite narrowly losing to Biden in 2020.
