‘Does It Sound Like I’m Voting For Trump?’ Charlamagne Chafes When Bill Maher Presses Him On Voting For Biden

Comic and political pundit Bill Maher got a rise out of radio star Charlamagne Tha God when he brought up the subject of voting — or not — for President Joe Biden and against former President Donald Trump.

On Friday night’s edition of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, the comic’s panel guests were Ana Navarro and Joel Stein and the interview guest was Charlamagne Tha God.

Maher noted his guest is “not going to endorse Biden,” which led Charlamagne to heavily suggest that his lack of endorsement doesn’t mean he won’t vote for Biden:

BILL MAHER: So let’s talk about Morehouse, because I know you are not going to endorse Joe Biden.

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD: I’m not endorsing anybody.

BILL MAHER: Right, I know!

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD: But that doesn’t mean I’m not voting.

BILL MAHER: Oh, I understand. Yes, but that is a way of indicating where your mind is on that. I understand.

I don’t agree with it. I am going to vote for Joe Biden if it’s Trump and Biden. I’ve said it before. I’ll vote for his head in a jar of blue liquid.

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD: But here’s the thing, though, Bill. Whenever I have these conversations or I come on these shows, I say the same thing about Donald Trump.

I think Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. I think he led an attempted coup in this country. He wanted to, you know, terminate the Constitution to overthrow the results of an election.

And I say I’m voting to preserve democracy. So when I say those things that I just said, does it sound like I’m voting for Donald Trump? And and I watch this show–.

BILL MAHER: Why don’t you just say it?

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD: I watched your show a couple weeks ago. I saw, Ken Burke was up here. Ken Burke said he’s not, he doesn’t support Trump. Biden. And he’s not voting. You didn’t give him no push back on that? None.

BILL MAHER: Who said this?

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD: Ken Burke? Am I saying his name right? White guy? Republican? That could be any of them.

BILL MAHER: I don’t remember that dude, but I push back on that all the time.

CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD: Oh, he said he said, I hope I remember it vividly. He said I don’t support even one of them. And I’m not, I’m not voting.
