Heidi Klum Stuns Host By Taking Off Shirt to Cool Down During Hot Wings Interview

Hot Ones, hosted by Sean Evans, is a very specific kind of interview show. And when considering appropriate behavior during an interview show, context is everything. One would assume that disrobing during an interview would be a bad idea — but this is Hot Ones. And things, as one might predict, get pretty hot.

Evans, to be sure, is always a true professional when it comes to his interviews with celebrities on Hot Ones. He does his research and his homework, and he seems to surprise his guests on the regular. But every once in a while, he is the one who gets surprised. And on the latest episode of Hot Ones, supermodel Heidi Klum certainly delivered.

The turning point on any episode of Hot Ones is Da Bomb — a hot sauce that is notoriously, blisteringly hot. It’s the kind of hot that makes people question their life decisions, including the decision to come on Hot Ones. It renders even the most A-list celebrities physically, emotionally, and mentally vulnerable. Some power through, some lean in, and some merely cope. (Unless you’re Lorde, in which case, you are not affected at all.)

Heidi Klum chose coping, and her method of coping was to take off her shirt. First she tried buttermilk, but that failed her. After a generous glug, Klum declared:

I’m getting hot.

At which point, Klum turned her gaze down and started unbuttoning her shirt much to the shock of everyone in the studio. As Evans exclaimed “Whoa… Whoa!” Klum fanned her overheated self with her opened shirt, revealing a fab red bra. Evans responded, “Now I’m getting hot too, Heidi!”

After Heidi took another glug of buttermilk, she checked in with Evans and asked, “How are you doing?” Evans, who eats the hellish wings along with his guests like a sport, said, “I’m holding on if you’re holding on, but I have to admit, I’m just barely holding on.” Klum, still in coping mode, asked, “When does it go?” Evans assured her that “in five or ten minutes, it’ll fade completely.”

That was too long for Klum, who decisively and completely removed her shirt.

I have to take this off.

Evans, a gentleman and a team player, declared, “I’ve gotta undo a button, I think.” Her shirt now in her lap, the highly professional Klum asked, “My mic is in my crotch, is that a slight problem?” Evans told her that the boom mic would take care of things.

Klum conducted the rest of the interview in her bra, because that is how Hot Ones rolls sometimes.
