The Trump campaign is mulling over whether to release footage of an altercation between its aides and officials at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday as criticism and coverage of the incident persists.

Campaign officials told Axios’ Mike Allen that it was “weighing options” that include releasing its own footage of the clash as the Trump team doubles down in its own defense.

The incident unfolded as Trump visited the grounds to mark the three-year anniversary of the Kabul airport terrorist bombing that claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members.

The cemetery, sacred to hundreds of thousands of American military families, has strict rules prohibiting political campaign or election-related activities. However, according to a cemetery spokesperson, the Trump campaign allegedly violated these rules by bringing a photographer to Section 60, the resting place for military personnel who died in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The campaign insists it had permission to bring a photographer, but a defense official told AP that the team had been warned against taking photos in the sensitive area. Tensions escalated when a cemetery employee confronted Trump aides, attempting to block them from filming at the gravesites.

A larger male aide reportedly “pushed past the cemetery employee, leaving her shocked,” according to The Washington Post. The employee, fearing potential “retaliation” from Trump supporters, has decided not to press charges.
