‘Beyond Disgusting’: Radio Host Slammed For Calling Kamala Harris Power Hungry ‘Since The Moment She Got Up Off Her Knees’
Conservative radio host Erick Erickson sparked a backlash on Tuesday when he criticized Vice President Kamala Harris as a “social ladder climber” and said she has been “since the moment she got up off her knees in front of Willie Brown.” Harris dated Brown, the former mayor of San Francisco, over twenty years ago when she was a young prosecutor.
“The people who are so willing to say, oh, we have to support Kamala Harris because she’s going to stop Donald Trump. You know what? She’s an authoritarian. Kamala Harris, did you pay attention to her record as attorney general in California?” Erickson said, adding:
You really want me to believe that we have to save democracy by voting for Kamala Harris? If Kamala Harris could get in office and ensure she’d never leave again. She’d do it. Kamala Harris has done nothing but climb the ladder of power since the moment she got up off her knees in front of Willie Brown.
To put it bluntly to you. Kamala Harris has just been a social ladder climber her entire time in office.
Erickson’s comments were condemned across the political spectrum as sexist as they echoed a common line of attack on the hard right. Former President Donald Trump shared a parody video a few weeks ago that included the line, about Harris, “Spent her whole damn life down on her knees; To be commander in chief, that’s how you say please.”
I’m disgusted by this election season. Both parties have nominated terrible candidates whose supporters have decided to behave terribly to bully people into supporting their terrible candidate. The rest of us are stuck.

Political commentator and author Amanda Carpenter replied, “The amount of rhetoric I see (on bumper stickers/yard signs/social) and hear about “knees” is beyond disgusting. People should be fed up w this garbage and have no qualms calling it out.”
