‘Your Show Simply Sucks!’ Hannity Pans Colbert’s ‘NEVER Funny’ Late Night Show, Predicts He’ll Be Fired

Fox News host Sean Hannity used a Mediaite article to lash out at late night comedian Stephen Colbert, calling him “never funny” and predicting he’ll be dropped by CBS soon.
“Colbert has destroyed CBS late night. The worst part is he’s NEVER funny, he’s unwatchable, his ratings suck, and he’s an ignorant left wing political hack,” Hannity wrote on X on Thursday morning.
Hannity went on to tout the massive ratings of Fox’s Greg Gutfeld over most late night programming and told Colbert to go back and take some notes on Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Johnny Carson. Gutfeld regularly beats Colbert and others in overall viewership, though he has an advantage airing earlier at 10 p.m.
“Colbert you need to go back and watch Leno, letterman and Carson. You are clearly not ready for prime time. And I love that Greg Gutfeld kicks your pathetic ass,” Hannity wrote. “Oh and enjoy your paper straws, Biden/Harris inflation, open borders and high energy prices. Your show simply sucks. It’s only a matter of time until you are fired.”
Colbert has hosted The Late Show since 2015. Before that gig, he hosted The Colbert Report, a spinoff of The Daily Show where Colbert focused more on satire through leaning into an over the top, conservative personality.

The “paper straws” is a reference to a montage Colbert ran of Fox News hosts aggravated over Vice President Kamala Harris’s opposition to plastic straws. Hannity linked to a Mediaite article covering the supercut.
